This pillow cover draws inspiration from the vibrant and symbolic patterns of traditional Kente cloth, a revered textile of the Ashanti and Ewe people of Ghana. The term "Kente" honors the rich cultural heritage and intricate weaving techniques of the Ghanaian people. Kente cloth dates back to the 11th century and was originally reserved for royalty and special ceremonies. Each pattern and color in Kente cloth has a specific meaning. For example, black symbolizes maturation and intensified spiritual energy, while gold signifies status and serenity.
