North America is a country rich in cultural diversity and innovation, has a significant history and influence in the textile industry. Notable American textile designs range from the whimsical Gluck designs of the Pennsylvania Dutch, intricate Chief's Daughter designs originated by the Cherokee people and vibrantly colored of art created by the Gullah/Geechi  who reside in the Southeast US. A variety of motifs blend beautifully together to create the tapestry that is the United States of America.
